Nigerian singer Zinoleesky has expanded his record label ambitions with the signing of Lagos based Afrobeats and street pop artist Waziyung as the first artiste under his independent label, Zinodict Music.
Zinoleesky announced the signing on October 1, introducing Waziyung as the first artist to join the label and revealing that his debut release under the imprint, “Fuji Vibe,” was scheduled for October 2.
The development marks a new phase for Zinoleesky, who established Zinodict Music earlier this year following his departure from Marlian Music.
Waziyung becomes Zinodict Music’s first signing
Waziyung, who is also associated with the Waziwave tag, has been building a presence within Nigeria’s street pop and Afrosounds scene.

His catalogue includes songs such as “FESTIVO,” “Olomi” featuring Lil Shappi, “My Life” and “Happiness.” He has also worked with artists including Little Zino, Lil Shappi and Billirano.
The young artist has continued to build an audience through digital music platforms, with his catalogue reportedly recording more than two million Audiomack plays.
His previous work also includes the 2023 project Determination And Focus, followed by additional singles and collaborations.
Zinoleesky continues building his own label
The signing gives Zinoleesky an opportunity to develop another side of his career beyond releasing music himself.
Zinodict Music began with Zinoleesky’s own releases, including his April 2026 single “Nostalgia.” With Waziyung now becoming the label’s first signed artist, the imprint is beginning to take shape as a platform for developing other musicians.
The move also reflects a wider trend among Nigerian artists who are increasingly establishing their own labels and using their experience and audiences to support emerging talent.“Fuji Vibe” opens a new chapterWaziyung’s first release under Zinodict Music, “Fuji Vibe,” was announced as the next major step in the young artist’s career.
The title points toward the continuing influence of Fuji and indigenous Nigerian sounds within contemporary Afrobeats and street pop. For Waziyung, the release represents an opportunity to introduce his sound to a larger audience while beginning his journey under a new record label.
With Zinoleesky backing the project, attention will now turn to how Waziyung develops under Zinodict Music and whether the partnership can establish the label as another notable home for Nigeria’s next generation of artists.

What’s next for Zinodict Music?
Zinodict Music is still at an early stage, but the signing of Waziyung gives the label a clear first artist to build around.
As Zinoleesky continues his own career, the development of his imprint could also give fans a closer look at his plans as a label executive and talent developer.
For Waziyung, joining Zinodict Music represents one of the biggest steps yet in his career. His next releases will likely determine how quickly the emerging artist can turn the attention surrounding the signing into sustained momentum.
